born in Gujarat, Loved across India
Makino began with a simple idea — to bring authentic, healthy corn-based snacks to every home. Our journey is rooted in tradition, innovation, and a passion for better snacking.
The snack-story of Makino began in 2013—two Gujju brothers in college, one classmate munching on nachos, and a crunch that caught our curiosity. One deep dive later, we realized the nacho scene in India was barely a scene at all. Just one brand? That’s it? The realisation brought back the image of our classmate munching on those nachos, and we thought, “Why aren’t people everywhere in India eating this stuff?”
By 2014, we were hooked—not just on nachos, but on the idea of crafting premium snacks for a market that craved better. Our research showed that one great facility could handle a world-class lineup—from chips to nachos and beyond. So we rolled up our sleeves and kicked off the quest for Makino’s crunchcraft.
In 2016, we broke ground on Makino’s very own manufacturing plant. That same year, we flew to the U.S. to source the best snack machinery on the planet. Two years later, our first batch hit the assembly line. That moment marked our real crunch-start in India’s snack scene.
From day one, we made a promise: no shortcuts. Just top-tier ingredients and snacks that taste like something you actually want to eat again (and again). It’s how we stay rooted—and how we keep growing.
Over the years, we’ve expanded the Makino range with Corn Munch, Flavoured Peanuts, and soon, Fox Nuts. But behind it all is the same mission: to master the art of crunchcraft through constant innovation and a little bit of snackchemy. And no matter how far we go, we’re still those two college guys chasing the perfect crunch.
This is just the beginning. We’re hungry for more. Hope you are too.
